Simon Perrott is a BSI Registered ‘Competent Emergency Lighting Engineer’ (CE/BS 20019), Fire Industry Association trained in fire alarm system design as well as commissioning to Advanced Level, and has been involved in the design, production, testing and approval processes for fluorescent lighting at managerial and director levels for over twenty five years.

Commercial Fluorescent Lighting

Representing Cryselco Lighting, the UK’s longest established lighting manufacturer (since 1895), we offer a complete range of direct/indirect modular products, suspended fluorescent fittings, weatherproof fluorescents, T8 and T5 battens, and PL downlights in round and square formats.

We can provide full photometric information for all products or assist by providing a design using our Relux lighting design software.

Emergency Lighting

Either as part of the general lighting scheme or as a stand-alone system we can design and assist with the specification of emergency lighting systems.  These may use conversion kits within the mains fluorescent lighting, separate fittings and twin-spots or use centrally powered systems.

Representing BLE (Bradley Lomas Electrolok) enables Simon Perrott Agencies to provide self-contained systems, central battery powered systems with slave conversions or fittings, or static inverter systems which operate normal fluorescent fittings at 230v.  For reduced cost of ownership BLE also offers highly reliable self-testing fittings which may be single-point units or networked systems reporting to a central control panel.

Fire Detection and Alarm Systems

From a small conventional system for a doctor’s surgery to large addressable systems for hotels, nursing homes, hospitals and shopping centres, Simon Perrott Agencies will be pleased to work with you to provide a cost effective and reliable engineering solution.

Using BLE systems with a choice of Advanced Electronics or Morley panels with Apollo or Hochiki protocols, we offer our services back-up by a large team of professional commissioning and servicing engineers based throughout the UK.

AOVs (Automatic Opening Vents)

These increasingly common systems provide Actuators to open windows, rooflights and hatches on staircases and fire corridors to vent smoke in order to keep essential fire escape routes clear.

Simon Perrott Agencies’ own business, AOV Solutions, supplies Single and Multizone Control Panels with battery back-up, Actuators and triggering devices such as manual break-glass units, fireman’s keyswitches, dedicated smoke detectors and relays to interface with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.

Small systems are available to provide an economic solution within a small office block or block of flats up to multi-zone, multi-output systems which can be configured to the ‘cause and effects’ programming of a sophisticated fire detection system in a large building.

Log Books

SYAM is a business under the same ownership as Simon Perrott Agencies and is the UK’s leading supplier of Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarm Log Books to the electrical wholesale trade.

The Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005 affects all non-domestic premises and has made it important that all building owners and operators keep a record of testing.

SYAM’s product range covers BS5839: Part 1 Fire Alarms, Mains/Battery Detectors to BS5839: Part 6 and Emergency Lighting Systems to BS5266.  A new product, the ELB/36W, is available which can be used to create a detailed history of electrical distribution boards and the installations that they serve.
