LG7 is the Lighting Guide applicable to the design of lighting for offices.  It asks for illumination to the ceiling and walls to overcome the ‘tunnel effect’ that was created by the use of the old Cat 2 style louvres that used to be commonplace in office lighting.

Crysleco Lighting has an excellent range of recessed and surface modular and linear luminaires to help designers meet LG7.

Cryselco’s Jupiter range of direct/indirect modules feature efficient low-glare louvres meeting EN12464-1 (lighting for workplaces with VDU screens), emit soft diffused light through perforated side panels fitted with opal liners and reflected, indirect light via the integrated reflector panels.  All versions have HF gear and a there is a wide choice of T5 and PLL lamp types to choose from.

Where designers find they are struggling to meet Part L 2010 energy efficiency requirements, or where clients want the most energy efficient lighting they can get, Cryselco have introduced the Lunar range.

These are very efficient microprism and louvre fittings with LORs of up to 80%.  Please see our page on T5 Light Output Ratios for more information.  The Lunar range is very competitively priced with a number of panel and louvre options to suit various requirements.

For offices where the luminaires have to be surface mounted there is a choice of Cryselco’s Jupiter fittings supplied for surface mounting or, for a very economical solution and one which is easily used with surface-tubed wiring, there’s Cryselco’s Butterfly range.

Butterfly is available with either T8 or T5 lamps and HF gear and provides diffused direct light via the perforated lamp cover that is fitted with an opal liner and a wide reflector emits reflected light down and sideways from the luminaire for a very pleasant low-glare lighting solution.
